You know that phase of growing up where you're embarrassed by your parents basically existing? Well, the sibling at the center of this story has a sister stuck in that stage, and this rare condition of hers is causing her to act in ways that are somewhere between embarrassing for her and insulting for others.  

Imagine witnessing your own mother heroically fend off two sketchy dudes who think Bud Light qualifies as taxi fare—most of us would react with a standing ovation or at least some enthusiastic cheerleading. Not this woman. Apparently, seeing mom bravely confronting creeps sets off her highly sensitive secondhand embarrassment radar, causing her to angrily declare mom as the villain of the story. How dare mom publicly protect her children? Doesn't she know that allowing yourself to be seen or heard is the greatest parental sin since wearing socks with sandals?
